Advice, Rescue, and Rehoming

Over the years, many people have come to us to ask for help or advice regarding different animals. While we are not a charity or an official rescue, we do have a plethora of knowledge and a willingness to help those who need it. This may be something as simple as what to do with an injured bird found in the garden, or care advice for a pet left behind from bereavement. We freely offer assistance wherever we can, even if you just need some support during a troubling time.

Escaped pets, injured wildlife, and SOS circumstances are surprisingly common, so we now ensure that we have nets, leashes, food, cages, and equipment on standby at all times. We can assist with capturing rogue animals and always have a spare enclosure just in case we need to provide short-term accommodation for emergency situations. In certain instances we are also able to rehabilitate and release wild animals, and have a multitude of contacts we can share if specialist services are required.

We understand the appeal of exotic pets and the ease of which it is to come into possession of them, but we also know that sometimes the novelty of these animals can swiftly wear off once the full scope of their needs becomes apparent. We always encourage those who find themselves in this situation to do what is best for the animal in question.

We offer a space completely free of any judgement for those that may need to rehome their pets. Many of our encounters team (as well as some animals we keep privately) are rescues and rehomes, and while we may not be able to guarantee a place for your animal with us, we can certainly put you in touch with other trusted rescue centres or professionals who can.
